KRASHNA: STRIKE NOW by Dave McCarthy At yesterday a f te rn o o n ’s anti-war rally on the main quad SBP Dave Krashna called for a general b o y co t t o f classes. Dir­ ecting his a t tack no t only against the war bu t also against racism, sexism, and militarism, Krashna cited the Cambodian expansion as the “ ca ta lyst” prom pting him to propose the boyco tt . He implored the people o f Notre Dame to “ s top , look, and listen and absolutely say s top to the educat ion w e’re getting at this t im e.” The fo u r th o f a n um ber of speakers, Krashna avowed his desire to “ enhance” educa t ion at Notre Dame emphasizing tha t “ the new educat ion has to begin.” F o r his own part, Krashna adm itted to co-signing, with approximately fifty o the r SBI’s, a pe ti tion to impeach President Nixon. Father llesburgh, president o f Notre Dame, com m enced the rally by stressing tha t , “ no m om ent in the modern history o f this country has been more divided regarding priorit ies .” He recognized “ the need for unity o f purpose and clear priority o f values.”
